Recording
You can record sound being played by a an external program and/or from a microphone and/or from an external input device connected to your sound device.
To simultaneously play and record, use the Play and Record module from the Tools menu or from the Tools dropdown on the toolbar.
Automatic Gain Control has three adjustable parameters as show in the illustration below.
AGC is on when the button on the toolbar is depressed.
AGC is off when the button on the toolbar is up.
Non-Silence Detection when recording is set globally in the setup properties module but can be toggled off and on in the recoding modules. When sound is sustained at a level above the Attack Level for longer that the Attack Time recording begins. When sound drops below the Release Level for longer than Release Time, recording stops. Attack time and level as well as release time and level can only be changed in setup.
