Mouse Operations

The editor interface provides a method for locating specific samples or elapsed time in a loaded sound clip.

The top bar displays a small red triangle and a red vertical line where markers are placed. A yellow triangle and a yellow vertical line mark the cursor position. When a range of samples has been selected the yellow markers become half triangles on the inside of the left and right points of the selection.

When the mouse pointer is moved across the top bar the mouse cursor will change to a hand with a pointing finger at the very top and to an arrow with the letter "L" as the mouse cursor moves down toward the editing area. Of course this only applies when a stereo file is loaded; when a monaural file is loaded only one track is displayed.

When the mouse pointer is the hand and finger you can move an existing marker, the current position or the beginning and ending selection points.

When the mouse pointer is the arrow and letter "L" clicking will select only the left (top) track.

The bottom of the editor is similar to the top.

The marker shows with a red triangle and the selected areas are differentiated by the yellow half triangles.

When the cursor is an arrow and the letter "R", clicking will select the right track. This too applies only when a stereo file is loaded.
