Non-Silence Detection when recording is set globally in the setup properties module but can be toggled off and on in the recoding modules.

When sound is sustained at a level above the Attack Level for longer that the Attack Time recording begins. When sound drops below the Release Level for longer than Release Time, recording stops.

Attack time and level as well as release time and level can only be changed in setup.
